MURDER or SELF-DEFENSE? Chidinma Ojukwu & Usifo Ataga (Everything You Need To Know)

This is the testimony of the 21-year old undergraduate of the University of Lagos, Chidinma Ojukwu, how she stabbed the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Usifo Ataga, to death in the Lekki area of Lagos State.

She spoke at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja on Thursday after she was paraded as a suspect by the state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.

Odumosu said Ojukwu was arrested at her parents’ residence in the Yaba area of the state on Wednesday night.

Ojukwu, a 300-level student of Mass Communication, said she had been in a romantic relationship with Ataga for about four months before the ugly incident.

Ojukwu said she and Ataga were “having fun” when an argument broke out and she stabbed him twice.

She said,

“We were in the lodge smoking. He was trying to make advances on me. I was tired and he became violent on it. I let him have his way. Towards afternoon, he ordered roofies. We took it together and ate food. He became high. I was still not happy with the first one (sex) that we had, so, I was staying on my own, smoking and drinking. He, too, was on his own.

“He came to me and I was like I am not happy with what he did. I was like, ‘You don’t help me, you don’t assist me with anything, you are just playing with me around’. He was like, ‘Take my ATM and withdraw what you want’.

“He later became violent trying to get to me and I was resisting and defending myself. At some point, he hit my head on the wall and I also retaliated.

“At some point, he was chasing me around the kitchen cabinet. I took a knife and stabbed his neck. I approached the door and he followed me. I stabbed him twice on the neck side. I threw the knife to the bed and he was going for it but I also went for it. He dragged the knife with me and it broke and he fell on the floor.”

The undergraduate also disclosed that after stabbing the late CEO, she withdrew N380,000 from his account using his ATM card.

MY VIEWS:

I wasn’t there, but I can tell you a bit of what happened there.

I’m not trying to justify what she did, but I believe her side of the story. She’s not a serial killer or had in mind to kill Ataga.

Read this again,

They were in the lodge smoking weed of course and she was tired. He forced himself on her violently, overpowered her strength and (they had sex).

Towards afternoon he ordered for “roofies” We took it together, ate food and he became high.

The question now is, why would Usifo order for roofies? I’ll tell you. He wants to drug and sleep with Chidinma to his satisfaction; unfortunately, he became the victim.

Now let me tell y’all what roofies drugs does in the human body. The drug’s effects within 30 minutes and can last for up to several hours. The drug causes you to feel sleepy, weak, confused, and forgetful. It also renders you unable to move your body.

She said to him, “You don’t help me, you don’t assist me with anything, you are just playing with me around”. He was like, ‘Take my ATM and withdraw what you want’.

The second question is, why did he give her the ATM card to withdraw any amount she want? I’ll tell you. He did that because he realized the little is right, that he haven’t done anything for her, just using her to satisfy himself sexually.

In a different angle, he gave her the ATM card to withdraw any amount she want because he knew there’s no way the little girl would’ve survived the effect of roofies drugs. She should be helpless and sleeping all through.

According to the police spoke person, Odumosu, Chidinma was arrested at her parents’ residence in the Yaba area of the state on Wednesday night. Why? She’s supposed to run away. Ask yourself why she didn’t.

Also, she withdrew N380,000 only from Ataga’s account using his ATM card. 380K only from the bank account of a multimillionaire abi billionaire? Think about it.

And what a 50yr old man is doing with a 21yr old little girl baffles me. There are a lot of them out there, damaging the lives of young girls. One day una go see wetin una dey find. Smh

Well, while they sue Chidinma for murder, Usifo Ataga’s corpse should be charge to court as well. Don’t ask me why. I drop pen here. -Naijaloaded
