#BBNaija S6: I love the chase – Maria speaks on relationship preferences

 Big Brother Naija season six housemate, Maria has revealed that she likes being chased before agreeing to a relationship.

In a chat with other housemates on Friday, day 34 of the show, Boma spoke about going after the women he likes but drawing back if they did not reciprocate the feeling.

“As long as a person gives me attention, I’ll be there; but if it’s the one that they shoo you away, I don’t care how much I like the babe if I’m being shooed off I’m not coming back. To me it’s more like I don’t want to irritate them. If someone tells me they don’t like me I believe that,” he said.

Maria agreed with Boma’s stance and added that someone showing her they don’t like her will be an automatic turn off for her.

“They don’t need to tell me, their actions will tell me they don’t like me, and there’s a automatic turn off. I’m no longer interested,” she said.

She however explained that sometimes she pretends not to like a guy even when the feeling between both parties are mutual.

“Sometimes my character will tell a guy I really really like and I know that he likes me, that I don’t like him but I actually like him.” She said.

She further stated that at the early week of a potential relationship, even when she is thinking about someone and desires to talk to them, she would rather wait for them to initiate a conversation than text them first.

“You have to really want me, I want to know your really want to know me or else we’re not starting anything,” she continued.

Boma, however, disagreed saying, “some guys always feel the girl is not into them, and that they’re forcing it.”

Maria replied, “It is just who I am. I love the chase, and I have to know you actually want me so badly.”

Fellow housemate, Pere, who had been Maria’s love interest in the show told other housemates on Thursday, the 33rd day of the show, that he decided to pull away from her because of her sly attitude.

“I don’t want to be around someone who’s too cautious; who’ll say one thing today and do another thing tomorrow.” Pere told Yousef and Micheal.

He also added that Maria’s attitude made it seem as if he was the one running after her, something he said is not in his character.
