Nigeria we hail thee, our own dear native land. A land flowing with milk and honey, riches and glory. A land filed with talents and skills, handiworks and beautiful crafts. Our dear native land.
Though tribes and tongues may differ, in brotherhood we stand over 250 different ethnic groups and languages yet we’re still standing as one strong nation. Nigerians all, are proud to serve our sovereign motherland.
Our flag shall be a symbol that truth and justice reigns. It was suppose to be until 20-10-2020 when the flag was stained with the blood of the innocent and oppressed, the colours changed. It was lowered by many in their various abodes. In peace or battle honoured, it was supposed to be counted as gain, to be passed as a banner without stain.
The labour of our heroes past now looking like it’s in vain, one nation that used to be bounded in freedom, peace and unity, now on the verge of collapsing. No one wants to serve our father’s land, no one is obeying the call, our youths refuse to know the truth and the just are dying.
Imagine a Nigeria without generator noise, a Nigeria were going abroad is just for vacation, a Nigeria were citizens can get disability benefits, a Nigeria that has a Lagos without traffic, a Nigeria with trains working 24/7, a Nigeria were a dollar equals a naira, a Nigeria without bandits and without terrorism. A Nigeria great again.
O God of all creation, grant us our one request. Help us to build a nation where no man is oppressed and so with peace and plenty, shall Nigeria be.
