In the golden era of Nigerian music, music videos are how you know if an artist has quality or not.

To the extent that guys like Maintain and The Remedies even managed to rule the game just by doing fresh videos – better than what most others were doing at least.

Then by the time it got to the P Square era, it was something else. P Square did change the game with colorful music videos that were just a delight to watch on TV then. Oh yes, that was before YouTube was even a thing here.

There are some songs that are inseparable from their iconic music videos, like Wizkid‘s “Pakurumo” or P Square‘s “Beautiful Onyinye” or Brymo‘s “Good Morning” or Chidinma‘s “Kedike.” I can go on and on forever, to be honest. All these just points to one true fact: music videos are an important part of the music industry. What I am saying is without music videos, this million-dollar industry might not even be able to survive at all?
